I made an oath to start a blog when the Fall/Winter 09-10 Menswear season began, and it began on Saturday so excuse my tardiness. This little blog here will contain my opinions and peer reflections of fashion. Or as I like to call it "fashin". Maybe occasionally I'll go a bit off topic if I ever get tired of just posting this love of mine.
To be honest, the title of my blog's name "Materialistic Obsession" is pretty much a contradiction of what I believe fashion is all about. I basically picked this title because it explains what those who cannot respect it as much as myself and any other fashionista believe what it is. (My gawd, I can't believe I used the word "fashionista")
While yes, it may seem like an industry of vanity, materialism, contradiction, dreariness, and insanity. But I believe that it is so much more than that. I see it as a beautiful concept of expressing art. It has a beauty that branches out with many leaves. And all of them just add up to what can make it absolutely breathtaking and inspiring. One of the things I can agree is that it is an industry of vanity. But the way I use it is in the context of the clothes. Who honestly wouldn't feel amazing in Haute Couture? Or an outfit designed to look like a walking piece of art? Honestly, if I wore some of my favorite pieces, I would feel like one million bucks.
I honestly hope you'll enjoy my posts to come. (I will soon put in my thoughts about the past two/three days of Menswear in Milan.) I'm pouring all my heart and knowledge in this, regardless if I have readers or not.
~Be back soon~*~
